This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how CQCLogic Ltd (“CQCLogic”) uses them on cqclogic.co.uk and app.cqclogic.co.uk, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. When we refer to “cookies” in this policy, we mean all of these technologies unless otherwise specified.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled. They include:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token | Supabase authentication session token — keeps you logged in | Session |
| sb-refresh-token | Supabase session refresh token | 60 days |
| stripe_sid | Stripe session for secure payment processing | Session |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Cross-site request forgery protection | Session |
| cookieyes-consent | CookieYes — stores your cookie choices | 1 year |
2.2 Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for this purpose.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique users | 2 years |
| _ga_[ID] | Google Analytics — session state | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics — distinguishes users (24 hours) | 24 hours |
| _gat | Google Analytics — throttle request rate | 1 minute |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity — stores a Clarity user ID | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity — connects page views within one visit | 1 day |
We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. Data is processed in accordance with Google’s data processing terms.
We also use Microsoft Clarity on our website and landing pages (not inside the logged-in app) to understand how visitors use them. Clarity records how visitors interact with a page (clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement) so we can produce heatmaps and session replays and find parts of a page that confuse people. Clarity hides the content of form fields and other sensitive text by default, and we do not use it inside the logged-in app. It only runs after you accept analytics cookies. If you change your mind, choose “Customise” in the cookie banner or clear the cookie preference to withdraw consent.
2.3 Marketing cookies
We use these cookies to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and to serve relevant content to visitors who have shown interest in CQCLogic.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads — conversion tracking | 3 months |
| _gcl_aw | Google Ads — stores the click identifier from an advert you clicked | 90 days |
| cqc_attr | CQCLogic (first-party) — remembers which campaign or page brought you to our website, so it can be carried to our app | 90 days |
| cqc_ad_touch | CQCLogic (first-party) — holds campaign details and the ad click identifier on app.cqclogic.co.uk | 90 days |
2.4 Functional cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation on our platform.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cqc_rating_pref | Remembers your selected CQC rating on the pricing page | 30 days |
| cqc_dismissed_banner | Remembers if you have dismissed notification banners | 7 days |
